Online applications are invited from eligible candidates from 27.03.2018 for filling up of the following categories of posts -Computer Assistant/ Chauffeur (Driver) / Grade - IV in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court in the usual scale of pay.

1. Computer Assistant
No of posts: 3 posts
Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14000-49000/- GP Rs. 6200/-
Educational Qualification:
a) Graduate from a recognized University.
b) Diploma/Certificate in Computer Operation/Applications.
The candidate must have received training in execution of works such as
1) data entry and DTP works ;
2) basic hardware maintenance including installation of various devices like printers, scanners etc. ;
3) setting up and configuring LAN ;
4) using utilities and application software ;
5) Web Designing and Web based application software as well as web based applications of computers.
2. Chauffeur (Driver)
No of posts: 04 posts
Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14000-49000/- GP Rs. 5000/-
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the educational qualification of Class-VIII standard; and those who have passed HSSLC (Higher Secondary) or above shall not be eligible to apply for the said posts; Should posses a valid Professional Driving License
3. Grade - IV (Court Attendant, Farash, Darwan, Lawn Attendant & Pumpman)
No of posts: 10 posts [Court Attendant- 4, Farash- 2, Darwan- 1, Lawn Attendant- 2, Pumpman- 1]
Pay: PB-1 Rs. 12000-37500/- GP Rs. 3900/-
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the educational qualification of Class-VIII standard; and those who have passed HSSLC (Higher Secondary) or above shall not be eligible to apply for the said posts. Candidates possessing special skills may be given preference on need basis.
For the post of Pumpman candidate having elementary knowledge of Electrical equipment will be given preference.
Age Requirement :
Candidates should not be below 18 years and above
27 years of age as on 1.3.2018. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to
SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Challenged / Ex-Servicemen/ Widow/ Divorcee Women /
Judicially separated Women and are not re-married and dependents of Freedom
Fighters as per Government Rules. There will be no age limit for employees of
Supreme Court. However, the candidate must have completed 3 years regular
service in this Registry. No relaxation in age will be allowed to the candidates
working in other Government departments etc.

General Instructions
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission for Written Test will be purely provisional subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions by way of furnishing documentary proof in support thereof. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, it is found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference.
The Physically Challenged candidates will be extended the same concessions/facilities as are allowed by SSC/UPSC in Written Test conducted by them.
Candidate is required to scan his/her photograph having 5 cm height and 3.8 cm width (size upto 50 kb) in JPG format and signature having 2.5 cm height and 5 cm width (size upto 50 kb) in JPG format for uploading the same at relevant space on the online application form.
The candidate is required to fill up the required data in the application and make online fee payment in accordance with the instructions displayed on the link provided for the purpose.
After successful completion of online application form, candidates will be able to preview his/her duly submitted application. Candidates are advised to get a printout of the filled up application of his/her record. Printout of filled up application need not be sent to the Registry.
The candidate should retain his/her Application number carefully for generation of admit card from the link to be provided on the website of Supreme Court of India and for any other information regarding Written Test.
In case candidate submits more than one application form, he/she must note that application which is submitted in last will only be entertained by the Registry. No correspondence requesting to accept previous application(s) will be entertained by the Registry.
